What this site is

ChooseMyPower.org is an independent comparison and education resource for Texas electricity plans. We aggregate publicly available plan and provider data and present rankings based on a transparent methodology.

What this site isn't

We are not a retail electricity provider, broker, or aggregator. We don't sell electricity. When you click an enrollment link, you transact with the retail provider directly (or with our partner ComparePower.com) — not with us.

Rate + plan accuracy

We update plan data daily from public sources. Rates change between updates, and the rate you see may differ from what the provider quotes you at enrollment. Always confirm rates on the provider's Electricity Facts Label (EFL) before signing a contract.

Editorial independence

We don't accept paid placement in our rankings. Provider rankings reflect our methodology — not advertising spend. We may earn a referral fee when readers enroll via our partner link, but this does not affect rankings. See our About page for the details on how we make money.

Limitation of liability

Information on this site is provided "as is." We are not responsible for decisions you make based on our content. Choose carefully, read each plan's EFL, and contact the provider directly with questions.

Site content, design, and analysis are © ChooseMyPower.org. Provider logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes.
